Kool Pak Leads Industry To Progressive HR Software
Compli technology tool increases efficiency and reduces costs.

Since the last newsletter, we have been actively working with another Oregon-based company, Compli, in their development of an HR workplace and compliance management software tool focused exclusively on the transportation sector. Version 1.0 is going to market as you are reading this newsletter. Lon Leneve, President and CEO of Compli, knew about Kool Pak and our reputation for being a progressive company in our use of technology. Lon had also identified the transportation sector as being highly regulated and in a state of significant flux with the pending CSA 2010 safety measurement system and new hours-of-service regulations. The additional government emphasis on food safety and security made our industry a perfect fit and logical expansion of Compli’s product line.
We implemented Compli’s base software program in June 2010 and experienced the immediate benefit of having online access to company policies and HR forms by all associates. We can now submit time off requests and other payroll information for automatic routing and processing. The paper savings and efficiency gains have been significant and have more than paid for the cost of using the software. We have since automated the Keep it Kool process within Compli and the entire ProTread training content library is now available on Compli for our use. Driver-specific Safety Measurement System data will soon be available to our driver associates.
This system is not big brother watching us but a tool to help us manage compliance, information flow, training and risk. The reduction in risk alone will result in a lower insurance cost to the company. You will see many more driver centric enhancements to the system in the near future. We want this tool to be an important resource to all associates and a key link to the company. Watch for upcoming announcements and contests for ideas on how we can continue to improve processes and the company. We are also exploring other access tools, like electronic notepads, to make access easier while on the road.
We are very proud to be working with Compli to drive beneficial change for our industry. The recent press release issued by Compli is posted at both terminals for your review. Kool Pak is mentioned prevalently throughout the release. We already have a great reputation in the industry for our service and use of technology. Partnering with an innovative company like Compli helps build our national brand recognition, as a best-of-class refrigerated transportation company. Kool Pak will continue to lead the industry in innovation, safety and environmental stewardship.
