2019 NADA: 3 Things We’re Looking Forward To
I have a confession: I’m afraid of automatic car washes.
Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been terrified by them—the giant spinning brushes, the massive blowers, the flashing lights, the pressurized cleaning agents spraying against the vehicle’s roof and windows… Most of all, it’s the feeling of being trapped inside a sudsy death machine. Some people say they find the experience relaxing or somehow fun. I find it harrowing. (And for good reason, turns out.)
So you might be surprised that I’m looking forward to the 2019 National Automobile Dealers Association Show, where there will be full-sized car washes on the convention floor. No, I’m not relishing the chance to face my fears in person. But even an autoplenophobe (a real word, apparently) like me can recognize all the positive opportunities and—yes—fun to be had.
Here’s what we’re looking forward to at the upcoming NADA Show in San Francisco later this month:
Reconnecting with Customers and Friends
It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with our customers and learn more in-depth about what’s been going on in their day-to-day lives. As we’ve explored on the blog in the past, Compli customers’ stories directly shape our product and company’s direction.
Similarly, it’s always a treat to see our partners and hear the pearls of wisdom they can share with us. Compli’s dealer experts—such as our friends at Fisher Phillips—know the market like the backs of their hands, and constantly blow us away with their insights and smarts.
Learning What’s on Your Radar for 2019
NADA is the perfect opportunity to take the auto industry’s temperature, so to speak, and get a sense of the trends and themes on the minds of dealers. From millennial buying habits to emerging technologies such as driverless vehicles, the auto industry is in the midst of an era characterized by disruption and innovation. At the same time, constantly evolving rules and regulations at both the state and federal levels are making compliance a greater challenge and a greater necessity than ever before.
We’re looking forward to learning firsthand about the current state of the industry from dealers themselves. I expect we’ll have more than a few conversations about topics such as workplace harassment, employee turnover, business process automation, and the Military Lending Act.
Meeting New People
Above all, the best part of every NADA Show is the opportunity to connect with new people.
Have a compliance challenge or question you’d like help with? Come talk to us! We would love to dig into your dealership’s specific needs and concerns, and offer some tips about how similar organizations are addressing the same issues. We can even give you a demo of Compligo, our workforce automation platform.
We’ll show you that when it comes to workforce compliance, your dealership has nothing to fear. Car washes, on the other hand…
