Quid Pro Quo
Latin for “this for that,” or as you may have heard it, “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.” It occurs when a supervisor or someone in a position of authority requests something like sex or a sexual relationship in exchange for work-related benefits – like a promotion or raise – or for not firing, demoting, or otherwise punishing the employee.
