No doubt people are the more important part of this equation. You need to hire and retain qualified drivers to keep your company running safely and efficiently. In the eyes of regulators, however, those people could have might as well stayed home if there’s no documentation to back up their actions and capabilities as truckers. Qualifications are more than what someone tells you in an interview; for legal purposes, they’re also a very specific set of records.
