Byers Auto Group used compli to create An Orientation Process That Keeps Pace With Company Growth
After rolling the first car off of the lot in 1929, Byers Auto Group has continued to go the extra mile for their customers, growing eventually to eight dealerships, 16 franchises and more than 650 employees spread across Central and Western Ohio.

The exponential growth of a company can make communicating effectively with each and every staff member incredibly difficult. “In the past, we would do a pretty good job of communicating when possible, but we really needed to find a central location to collect, gather, onboard and share news and requirements effectively across departments,” said Scott Basinger, CFO of Byers Auto Group.
In addition to communicating general messages about group meetings, company events and more, Byers Auto Group also needed to ensure that employees completed required trainings and compliance activities on everything from sexual harassment to workplace safety. “Before we had Compli, when someone started at our company they’d be given a packet of information from Human Resources. At the time, we had no way of knowing whether or not that new hire completed their required trainings and signed off on the correct policies and forms,” said Basinger.
Gone are the days when the HR team had to manually enter paperwork, conduct and document basic trainings, ensure every form was filled out correctly and take the limited time they had to track down non-compliant employees.
Now Scott’s HR team uses Compli as a centralized “vault” for communications, policies and procedures, documentation and trainings.
